Terms of sale and use

Purpose

The iBudokan Academy website, published by IBUDOKAN LTD, connects martial arts and combat sports instructors with students through the sale of online video courses. Each course includes a free preview video; the other videos are reserved for buyers of the course.

Account

Buying a course requires an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential; access to courses is personal and may not be shared.

Prices and purchase

Each course is sold individually at the price shown on its page (in euros, VAT not applicable). The price is set by the instructor and may change; the applicable price is the one displayed at the time of purchase. Promo codes may be offered by the instructor or by iBudokan Academy. The purchase is confirmed by email and the course appears immediately in “My courses”.

Payment

Payments are processed securely by Stripe (card, Apple Pay, Google Pay) or by PayPal. IBUDOKAN LTD stores no banking data.

Right of withdrawal and refunds

Courses are digital content supplied immediately. By buying a course, you expressly request that access begins without delay and acknowledge losing your right of withdrawal upon first access to the paid videos. If a course clearly does not match its description, contact us within 14 days at contact@ibudokan.com: we will review your request in good faith. A refund removes access to the course.

Duration of access

Access to a purchased course is granted without time limit, as long as the iBudokan Academy service is in operation and the course is available. If an instructor permanently withdraws a course, buyers keep access to the videos already online or, failing that, are refunded pro rata.

Instructors

Instructors publish their courses after validation by iBudokan Academy, set their prices and warrant that they hold the rights to the content they distribute. They receive 50% of the amount collected, net of fees, on each sale of their courses, paid on request (minimum €50) by PayPal. A member who refers a buyer or an instructor earns a 5% commission under the conditions shown on their “My earnings” page. iBudokan Academy may remove a course that breaches these terms or the law.

Liability

Content is provided for educational purposes by its instructors. Practising martial arts and combat sports involves risks; IBUDOKAN LTD cannot be held liable for injuries resulting from improper execution. Consult a professional and adapt your practice to your physical condition.

Governing law

These terms are governed by English law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection provisions applicable in the customer's country of residence within the European Union. In the event of a dispute, an amicable solution will be sought first.
